Not a lot going on today so I'm going to use a photo from earlier in the week.  This is a weird tree we saw as we were riding around.  The branches have been cut for the power lines.

 

Thursday, March 26

We saw a new used bookstore opened in the next town and they advertised Louis Lamour books.  We drove down to take a look.  It was okay but they didn't have any books I liked and no Louis Lamour.  Rick was very disappointed since that's about all he reads.  We then drove 40 miles upriver to a furniture store looking for a new couch and chairs, maybe.  I really got caught up in looking and forgot to take any photos!!

We replaced the main flag on the house.  Usually there's some type of cocker flag, but we change the big ones.

We spent the afternoon with Susan.  She's thinking about getting the kids a pool this summer but would prefer to get a used one.  We took her to look at a couple.  I loved the lighting in the car so took this photo.

We decided to go out and eat this evening.  One of my favorite places.  It's pretty bad when the most exciting thing happening in your day is where you ate supper!!

This was such a boring week.  I haven't finished the St. Patrick's table topper yet and not alot is going on in our lives.  I've only seen flowers at one neighbor's house when I've been walking Katie. They really look good to me though.

The ice has melted from the pond and the fish are wanting to be fed again.  We didn't lose  any even though they spent the winter under the ice!

On Tuedays and Saturdays  we go to the Mexican restaurant.  I love their food and it's extremely reasonable.  What I like the most is the 2 for 1 margaritas.  No wonder I have trouble losing weight but these are so good!!

Since he retired Rick helps me around the house.  We clean on Mondays.  He runs the vacuum cleaner for me because it just kills my back.  Caught him in the act!

We went to Sam's club for some groceries and to the pet stuff for Katie's peanut butter stuff.  She loves this.  I put it in her kong toy when we're going to be gone for a while to keep her busy.

This is where I have spent most of my time this week.  I really want to get this finished by St. Patrick's day.  I'm afraid if I stop I'll just tuck it away and not finish it.  I still have a ways to go yet.  Rick put the TV remote there to indicate the it's size.  A lot larger than I thought!  Good news - after a very frustrating time this year the taxes are done and filed!!  Thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor little Katie!  Every time one of us leaves the house this is a familiar site.  She sits here and waits until we come back.  I assume she does the same thing we both of us leave because you can always see her little face through the door when we come home.

I love the smell of this candle.  We use it alot in the evenings after I've cooked something for dinner and the smell lingers in the house.  I'd much rather smell this!

One of my major problem areas is my weight.  I love sweets.  I lost 56 lbs a few years ago and kept it off for several years.  In the past two years I've lost my willpower and it's back!  Well, I'm working on getting it off.  I'm a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and during my gains I've still gone once a month to get weighed.  This last month, I've been working on it and I had lost 3.6 lbs when I weighed-in today.  At least it's a start.  A small start but it comes off much more slowly than it goes on.

I started this table topper just before Valentine's day.  I never paid attention to the size. It's huge!  More of a tablecloth than a topper.  I've been working on it as much as possible but I doubt I get it done this year in time for St. Patrick's day.  I'll take more photos as I finish it.

Today is Katie's second birthday.  I considered getting her a small cake, and hat to celebrate but figured she should enjoy her birthday so I gave her another new toy.  It was really an older one.  This is the fourth duck like this she's had.  She destroyed 2 of them and the 3 is almost there.  You can tell she was enjoying playing with it.

Rick's Shutterfly book is here already.  It turned out better than I expected with just uploading the photos.  He seems to like it and that's what matters.  Of course it helps that it only cost about $9.00 dollars which was for the shipping instead of the $29.99 for the book and $9.00 for the shipping.  I love freebies but I wish they'd offer the 12 x 12 size which I prefer!

Cold and rainy so I'll have to make due with a photo of Queen Katie!  Doesn't she look pretty posing for me!  My little girl will be two years old Sunday.  Time seems to fly by sometimes.
